[IC] Introducing the Paladins!

You have all been summoned to a smaller meeting chamber in the barracks where you live and train. Khadgar Longbeard, a dwarf paladin and instructor, is dressed in his usual resplendent clothing heavily inlaid with symbols of the silver flame. Standing behind him is an older human man dressed in humble robes but wearing the symbol of a member of the Mage Guild of Thrane, an order of sorcerers and wizards who have allied with the Knights of Thrane.

Khadgar: *Ahem* Ah, yes, you all 'ave been summoned ta be told your new orders. But first, introductions. You may 'ave seen each other around the barracks and know some better than others, but this will be the first time you 'ave all worked tagether on a mission. *He points at the human* This is Magus Jay Bodley, an instructor with the Guild. 'e 'as brought a problem to our attention an' an opportune suggestion on the solution. Don' be shy, introduce yourself.

*Khadgar points at you*

(A cute human appears in a lab coat with colorful and cute buttons clipped on)

Oh, HI! I’m Leese!

(She removes her goggles, putting them on top of her golden haired head)

I’m a scientist doing what I must because I can. I like candy, cute, and, of course, SCIENCE!!!

You all seem like cool knights doing the right thing, which is awesome! Good Rocks! I’m glad I got a chance to meet you all (her computer gauntlet beeps), but my Composite User Transportation Enhancer is charged, so I have to get going!

(Puts on goggles)

*Flash*

(No ones seems to have noticed the very strange occurance and Khadgar is left still point at you)

[A young Halfling looks up at Khadgar with wide, baffled green eyes. She’s actually pretty tall for a midget, but still smaller than absolutely everyone else. Her reddish hair is tied back with a blue bandana. She’s also tragically built like a ten-year-old boy.]

Halfing: Huh? Me? Okay! I’m Amity Sackville-Baggins! I like candy and cute, too… [She pauses, as if even she is confused as to where that came from.] Anyway, I’m going to be the greatest Paladin in the world! Way better than my sister! You just wait! [She rethinks her forcefulness for a second.] Oh, and I have a wonderful personality and I’m always kind to animals. [Grin.]

[Amity draws a long breath, puffing herself up, and clears her throat, obviously prepared to make quite a long speech.]

Amity: I came to this academy, all those many years ago, seeking glory and goodness. I am the second daughter of two successful merchants in a small village, but I am known all throughout that country. My older sister’s fame precedes me, but I have vowed to make my family proud on my own, for my sister and I had a tragic parting of hearts and ways when I chose to further my studies of justice. For many years, I have labored hard and learned well, and I believe I can bring great glory to our illustrious name! [Cue backdrop of the paladin’s flag waving in the wind and patriotic music] For I know, just as all of us do, that only justice can prevail, and that good shall always conquer evil, and we shall spread light to all the land!

[Amity pauses to catch her breath, unwittingly leaving an opening for someone else to make their own speech.]

A dwarf clears his throat unreasonably loudly. He steps forward and presents himself in such away that he seems rather large for a dwarf, yet gives a vibe that he's even more-so denser than your av-er-age dwarf.
"I assume this young gentleman is done," he says gesturing towards the young Ms. Baggins. "I am Finlay Stoutwit of the Highlands! I have quelled many a demon and traitor in my time and have the battle scars to prove it!" He starts to raise his tunic.

(Before you stands a young woman in a simple, ankle-length pink dress. She looks almost human…almost except for her supernatural beauty, her wavy, silver hair that runs all the way down to her back, and her golden halo. She is holding a hammer almost as tall as she is. There is a calming, peaceful presence to her, and she smiles as she talks.)

Greetings, Brothers and Sisters of the Silver Flame! I am Glenda Aeritha. I am a celestial who, like you all, is crusading against evil and for the downtrodden and the oppressed. I was born in a small village outside of Morningcrest. When I was born, my parents, seeing that I had manifested celestial traits, wisely brought me to Morningcrest, where the paladin order there raised me to be a Paladin of the Silver Flame. I learned the ways of the world from them and swore to use my abilities to alleviate the suffering in this world.

My travels and missions put me all over Thrane, where I saw real pain and suffering, and did my best to help anyone in need. I also patrolled the Starpeak Mountains, it’s there that I met Phoebus! I was guided to a group of thieves who had stolen from a Giant Eagle nest. I showed them the naughtiness of their ways and took the egg to return it. It was astonishing then that the egg hatched! I cared for the baby eagle as I looked for the nest. Sadly, I was unsuccessful as the nest had already been ruined by thieves. So, from that point on, I decided that I would take care of Phoebus. I took care of Phoebus and read to him the teachings of the Silver Flame every day. Phoebus understood me, and what I was trying to do for our world, and he wanted to help too! I was very happy and Phoebus has been my good friend ever since! Since he’s gotten big, I’ve gotten a chance to ride him several times. He’s going to be my mount!

So now, they have sent us here to Flamekeep to meet up with you all! I’m sure we will bring peace, justice, and light to the world!

A tall, blond hair, blue eyed man walks into the barracks and announces:

"Sorry I'm late Khadgar, I see the introductions have already began. Everyone, I'm Captain Othar Thrygvassen D'Cannith of the 5th Lancers. I was born here in FlameKeep, the son of Edward Thrygvassen and Mary D'Cannith. I'm a master of the lance and a veteran of many battles of the Great War. I'm sure you've heard of me."
